It was with music and dancing at Kato Pedina that this year's Zagoriwood came to an end, after the screening of the films created by our wonderful students. For 16 days we felt again like we live in a different country, where creativity, happiness, and respect reign. All thanks to the young -and older- people who filled this year's workshops, along with the villagers, with their revitalizing energy!
We would like to thank everyone who helped us make Zagoriwood 2021 happen! The people of Kato Pedina and the president of the community Vaggelis Gkikas. Our amazing instructors: Chryssa Tzelepi, Akis Kersanidis, Zacharias Mavroeidis, Alexis Alexiou, Yiannis Kantea Papadopoulos, Argiris Pantazaras and Yorgos Makris, PALASE for its trust in us and our continuous partnership, the Municipality of Zagori and the Region of Epirus, the National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication (EKOME), specifically Stelios Kimionis and Argiris Thanasoulas and the Greek Film Centre (Yorgos Aggelopoulos) for their huge support.
We would also like to thank Jorhelino Makris, Kostas Damatis, Jimmy and Anemi (Pavlos an Lila), PAN Entertainment. Also, Anemicinema, Petros Sevastikoglou, Mikrokosmos, Rosebus.21 and Panagiotis Papoutsis for kindly offering their works and the creators whose films enriched this year's program. A huge thanks to Positively Different Short Film Festival that for a 2nd summer joined us on the mountains along with their different and colourful films. It was also an honour to have Georgis Grigorakis and Vaggelis Mourikis and Thodoris Armao with us and the creative director of the Drama Film Festival Yannis Sakaridis.
Special thanks to our faithful dogs, Koukla and Davelis, and the foxes for keeping us company every night, after a long day's work.
Zagoriwood 2022 is on its way. May you all be well and see you next July, on the Epirus mountains!
